TracPlus Global Wins International Tender for Australian Airborne Firefighting

17 December 2009

TracPlus Global has been selected as the exclusive provider of tracking integration services for Australia's airborne firefighting operations.

Richard Alder, general manager of National Aerial Firefighting Centre (NAFC) said, "We chose TracPlus because it allows our contracted aircraft operators to choose tracking equipment and service providers that meet their specific needs, but also allows us to monitor and coordinate all aircraft, regardless of those choices. In light of the disastrous outcomes of Black September in Victoria, the improvement in coordination and communication this initiative represents is especially important."

Stuart Campbell, CEO of TracPlus Global, said the announcement further validates TracPlus as a global leader in the provision of interoperable tracking services for complex and mission critical applications.

TracPlus Global is also in discussions with firefighting authorities in the world's largest airborne firefighting markets, California and Canada, he said.
